Happy to hear that the train is a good option. We have booked in September.
An alternative is the afternoon sitting bus from Sinh Cafe. Took it in April. Approx 90k and very comfortable. Took about 4 hours. Dropped us at our hotel.Edited: 15 June 2018, 04:05
Agreed the sitting bus is much better particular Sinh who are good operator on that route.
Hi...may I know is there any compartment to put a luggage in the bus?
Yes all luggage is placed underneath in the baggage compartment. Extra charge usually for larger items.
I’ve been to Mui Ne a couple of times, both times by bus, last year by sleeper bus, which was a bit of a shock!! As I’m a big guy, but settled in ok, eventually!!
We a returning in March next year, how long is the train? Around 4 hours? I’m thinking this will be a better option..
Thanks in advance
Why do people keep telling travelers to avoid travel with night buses. I slept 6 hours on one without the valium that they sell in every pharmacist. I slept okay,
A really odd view of things. Most of us dont take Valium just to sleep on a bus. However you want to wrap it, the Asian style of driving as you call it means overtaking on blind bends and playing chicken with oncoming traffic.
The other thing you may not be aware of is that the buses are totally unsuited to rapid evacuation in an emergency.
The truck vs bus accident 2 years ago where the bodies of a dozen charred dead were laid out on the ground for all to see bears testimony to this. I cant imagine the terror and pain those people endured before dying.
Johnny the train is far preferable although it is a 6.30am start. There is a coach that meets the train and takes you onto Mui Ne to your address. Cost 35000.VND. Train time is 4 hours so you get there refreshed in time for lunch.
