Massage Rip Off

OK, so never take your eyes off your wallet, I know....

"Day 1 Spa" got straight into my wallet while I showered after an aloe Vera massage. They/She stole 200,000 dong from my wallet. I'm the sucker I know but please steer clear of this place

you.don't.leave.your.belongings.out.of.sight.

Why tempt someone?

I leave my $900 helmet on my bike in Denmark.

I take my $200 helmet with me wherever I go in Vietnam. Leave it on the bike, and it will be gone in 15 seconds.

200,000 is more than a day's wages for her.

Thanks for the heads up. Unlikely that Day 1 Spa will care much but there may be others who will care enough to give this place a wide berth.

Most travellers would not go to the trouble of reporting, which is a shame as it is what this forum is all about.

Cheers Ross

It's not Vietnam when there is no more scams & rips-off and you forgot it for only few seconds.

You are still alive and well ? Put it down to a cheap experience and learn from it. Enjoy the rest of your stay.

It was bugging me too much. I went and had it out with the manager and got my money back! Still a bitter taste in my mouth though....

Funnily enough I took my wallet into the shower, it was a really large shower at the massage and I nearly forgot about it.

Risks are everywhere.
