We are staying at Brynowen in april and while we are there it is hubbys birthday, will.be a sunday. We have a toddler and a 4 month old. Where is nice to go and eat?
There are two pubs in the village that do food, The Railway & the Victoria Inn. The Vic has an area outside which overlooks the beach, they also do barbecue type food outside when the weather is fine. Out of the two I would prefer the Vic, both are within walking distance of Brynowen. Further afield at Tre'r-ddol is the Wildfowler Inn www.wildfowler.com their food is excellent & you would need to book & would have to drive there. In Aberystwyth there is a fairly new pub called the Starling Cloud, owned by Marstons Inns. The food there is very good, & they have a play area for the little ones, you would be able to get a train from Borth into Aberystwyth on Sunday if you didn't want to drive & the pub is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the railway station.
Thanks v.much. I will have a nosey, budget is bit tight so if all fails may be chip shop. Haha. We dont drive but were considering getting train into aber for a few hours if we get chance.
Wildfowler would be too far then. There is also a Weatherspoons in Aber right next to the railway station, it is in fact in part of the old station buildings.
When in April are you staying. We are going 11 April for the weekend so may see you there if it's that weekend!
Just got back, from the park resort caravan park there is a small India restaurant about 5mins walk just before the railway inn, the food is 10/10we had 2 starters 4 main 3 rice and poppadoms only £45, we also tried the mex tek on the sight that was a waste of money.
