HI, any ideas about good walks please?
You won't be able to go on the beach in Borth until 1st October, but drive north past the golf course, then when the road bends to the right go straight on towards the estuary. This is Ynyslas, a huge beach & area of dunes. There is ample parking, there is a fee you pay at the visitor centre & I think you can buy a weekly ticket. In Borth village take the lane by Pebbles guest house & the amusements (park in main road), this crosses the railway line & leads down to the church. At the church you can bear right & follow the path round to the zoo, walk round to the back of the zoo & follow the path & you will be able to see the lions,or bear left at the church & follow the path until you reach the river Leri, go right towards the zoo or follow the river to the left. You will pass a small wooded area, just past here you can go left towards the golf course, & out towards the road, or carry on towards the estuary. Further afield about 15 miles away is Bwlch Nant yr Arian on the A44. There are several walks here, go to visitor centre for maps, also there is red kite feeding there at 3pm (2pm GMT). If you are energetic it is possible to walk from Borth to Aberystwyth along the coast path. You could get the bus or train one way.
