I don't know what you mean by a small boat. I think they are all fairly small fishing boats but you would want to check on the websites or contact the operators to be sure. For sure you would want to avoid the tours which use Zodiaks.

Here is a list of tour operators. You can search for reviews on Trip Advisor and on Google. An easy way to find a TA review is to put 'Trip Advisor' and then the name of the operator into a Google search.

Thanks for your help. We read that there were small and large boats. We didn't think we would like a small one. Also what is a Zodiaks? Thanks

Zodiaks are inflatable raft type vessels. They get you much closer to the action.

All whale watching is amazing on brier island. Try and spend a night there if you can. Beautiful island to hike around.

Zodiacs are life a large and very strong rubber raft with an outboard motor. Picture a white water raft with a motor.
