rain???

We are looking to book a holiday in playa del arena next april and have been told that the north of the island is rainy. Is this resort classed as north or south? What are the chances of rain in April??

Any comments welcome

Playa Arena is in the West of the island and it is unlikely you will get rain, but that of course cannot be guaranteed, April is still after all our winter so there may be the odd day. It is a very quiet resort so if you are looking of plenty of night-life be prepared to get taxi to other resorts or stay within the hotel complex.

Hi

Playa del Arena is in the southwest of the island between Pdla/LC and Los Gigantes {closer to Los Gigantes than Playa/LC} While nobody can say for sure what the weather will be like in April the "normal" for the south would be dry, sunny and daytime temps SHOULD be around 27 degrees during the day

Hope this helps

Hi the northern coast can be more cloudy, and it is greener, however April is still a very nice month. This year we returned with a lovely tan in March with a little rain over night.

Thank you to you all this has helped. Is it classed as north or south?

We don't mind quiet - the other hotel we've seen is the Britacora in Playa Las Americas. Any comments?

Nobody can say which is the best choice for you, as we don´t know you but if I had to choose between Playa Arena and the Bitacora in Las Americas it would be the Bitacora every time. It is in a lovely area with great shops, bars and restaurants. Everything is within easy reach Siam Park, Whale Watching, shows and plenty of entertainment on an evening. Your transfer from the airport would also be around 20 mins instead of 40+ and will cost half the price of going to PArena.
