Good Beach?

We are a couple with a 9 year old child. Our priority is a good time at the beach. Would Pentai Cenang be the best option?

Hi

If your hotel is not beachside then yes, Pantai Cenang would be a good beach for you.

Coming to Langkawi end of July. Family of three adults, which is the best beach on the island . Are there any private beaches or are they all public beaches.Went to Bali two years ago and some of the public beaches near us were not nice.

Thanks

Hi

All the beaches on the island are public beaches but some of the better ones you cannot access as hotels have laid claim to them and security will not let you enter.

Pantai Cenang and Pantai Tengah are the two main beaches on the island and are ok. Tengah is quieter than Cenang with not as many jet skis around.

The first difference between Bali and Langkawi is that you won't be disturbed every 2 minutes by someone trying to sell you something. The second is that there are not massage stations under every shady tree.

Although it has its faults ( jet skis) Pantai Cenang is still a beautiful sandy beach, with nearby bars & cafes...Try the beachside cafe at AB Motel for lunch of chicken and rice, its good and very very cheap.

We spent the day at Tangjun Rhu beach which was much quieter than Cenang beach & the sea had no stingy things in it & was beautifully quiet with lots of natural shade from the palms & trees, our favourite beach in Langkawi

The Danna has its own beach which is quite nice and private.

Pantai Tengah is next to Cenang further south. The two beaches are almost connected. Tengah is far more quite although this unfortunately will change once the new hotels are ready to go.

Cenang suffers from too much water sports and often jelly fish

Tanjung Rhu has nice beaches.

Driving up to the Datai you find a few very nice beaches.

Chartering a longboat you can discover your very own beach.

Hi,

Where in Langkawi is it possible to combine nice jet and jelly-free swimming at the beach with lovely evening walk and plenty of restaurants to choose from?

Many thanks in advance
