Any idea when the Ritz will be open? Are you able to make reservations yet?

I never have and never could bring myself to pay that much. I don't care how good the service is. Of course if I won the lottery tomorrow I may be tempted to try it. :) My bosses stay at RItz Carlton's all over the U.S. and stay in suites. I don't believe they have ever paid that much for a room at any Ritz.

We stayed on points (although we had to pay 60/night) resort fee at the St Regis in Puerto Rico. i believe a suite would cost that much, but I'd never pay it. Maybe if I won lotto also, but I'd rather use the money for another vacation

The Ritz does offer discounts when you book half the hotel, lol. Went on a corporate trip with my wife to the Ritz in San Juan- the Ritz brand is second to none. Service is amazing even if that location is not great. Id stay again and just never leave...

I would be shocked if the suites were not at least 1500 per night at Xmas and usually 1k or so per night for a suite plus taxes other times. It wont be cheap- but I will stay there within the year.

The Ritz Aruba website has been updated. New pics, room descriptions, etc. I am here now. The dealers at the Marriott Casino said "looks like a December opening now". I will try to find out some more info and post.

How is the beach, did it get widened in front of the hotel. When we checked it out last year, the beach was narrow and no way they'd be enough room for all the guests.

You can book online now. UGH, no reward points allowed. I have been saving up my points over 350,000 in hopes of using it here..
