Basic answers are "yes" and then "no".

Yes, You can snorkel from the beach, although entry/exit points are somewhat limited.

No, there is no shade ( or other facilities) on Kline Bonaire. Bring your own sun protection and water.

There is a shaded picnic area on the beach, but it isn't large, and it may be taken/full.

The water taxi from Eden Beach Resort will let you drop your belongings on the beach, then re-board the boat and be dropped off about a 45 minute snorkel away. They call this a drift snorkel, since you're going with the current and you will end up where you dropped off your stuff. Just ask the boat operator when you board. (Some other water taxis may or may not do this also, we just use the one at Eden Beach resort because it's the closest to our house.)

If you don't want to do the drift snorkel, you can walk as far to the right (facing Bonaire) as possible, till the beach disappears. Then find a cut through in the coral and you can snorkel back.

The fish right in the swimming area are plentiful and curious, I don't know if people feed them or what, but they were all around us, in fact, we saw the best fish that day right in the sandy swim area!

There are two tall wooden shade structures on Klein Bonaire. They can fit alot of people (we easily had 10 once) and no one is supposed to claim them, they are for everyone to use if they need shade. We've always shared and found others willing to share. There are no bathroom facilities. There are grills off behind the structures, they were crusted with grime when we were on Klein a few weeks ago. There are trash and recycling cans on the beach.

All the best,
