Hi.
Just had a look at this and looks nice, can people give honest views please?
Beach/rooms/AI/entertainment/pools
Many thanks
I've been 3 times... my honest view is you get what you pay for and is a great budget resort... upgrade to VIP and you can't go wrong... awesome beach and handy 24 hour beach/snack bar.
Good entertainment at pool in afternoon and overall the staff at this resort are some of the best we have met. Many have worked there for several years. Yes and do upgrade to VIP as Deb suggests.
Budget resort which is huge. Food is just fair. Many other better resorts.
sure there are better resorts but at what cost? I found the food "good" especially in the a la cartes.
I didn't find the resort huge at all, I would call it midsize and compact, you only "travel" to the lobby everything else is by the rooms/beach?
Some better resort for almost similar price would be Catalonia resort, Bahia Grand Punta Cana or Bavaro, Iberostar Punta Cana or Dominica and maybe Grand Palladium.
Oh boy,,, maybe your prices are different than mine but from my city those resorts came in at least $400 per person for a week, Grand Palladium was like $6-800 more per person per week :-(
Maybe the prices are different. We are lucky to have a choice of 3 airports New York, Newark and Philly. This may bring the prices down on vacation packages. Other areas may have higher prices.
Thanks for reply, what do you get in the VIP?
The website or Travel agent you're booking with should be able to tell you about VIP...
from a Canadian website it lists this...

what's not mentioned is VIP usually includes beachfront rooms with awesome ocean views :-)
We are in NH and just went to Palladium in May and it was at least $400/for two more than Caribe. Agree that the al cartes at Caribe are quite good. We have now been to DR 18 times and have been to Caribe 4 times and still consider it one of our favorites. Palladium is huge and a lot of fun and is now a favorite of ours. Caribe is much smaller and compact with rooms and dining, pools and beach all close by.
