Questions - Secrets Cap Cana

Hello!

A few questions:

- Is there any local bars to walk to in either direction?

- I read somewhere about the bike tour takes you into town, has anyone done this and have any information?

- What would be some fun/unique to DR souvenirs? I have read that the giftshop is very overpriced.

- Any other must knows of this resort?

It's our first time in Punta Cana, but we are very familiar with Secrets resorts in the Riviera Maya.

thanks!

Cap Cana is a gated, quite exclusive community in the south part of Punta Cana so there are not really "local" bars to find.

If you walk along the beach of Juanillo, there is a very nice, cozy little beach restaurant - not really "local" but with good food and a nice hangout spot.

Other than that, in the area of Cap Cana´s marina there are also some restaurants and a beautiful beach club; this is however a bit further away from Secrets (approx. 6 kilometers).

Good souvenirs are for example Mamajuana, a local Dominican liquor or Dominican rum. :-)

Secrets is a very beautiful, recommendable hotel with great quality and the beach is amazing!

Thank you!

Does anyone know if they have Havana Rum at all of the bars? Hubby likes to enjoy since we can't get in the U.S.

Ahh...not much to do on a snowy day......So...

Ive seen your question many times.

PC is different then the Mayan there's no central PDC or Akumal or PM town. Once your at the resort your there. At SCC your in a gated community like Playacar but without the town next door. They are trying to turn Cap Cana Marina into some place where tourists can go and since St Martin is out of commission cruise ships will be/are docking there.

When it comes to SCC the beach is unique you can walk out into the water for 100+ yards and be in only 4ft of water. The bike tour takes you to the Marina.

SCC is something like Secrets Akumal except there's hardly anybody on the beach There is a free tour for souvenirs rum and cigars look up Don Lucas

Havana Club ... I forget there's so many DR rums just like in Mexico with the Tequila
