Was at the Esmeralda the last week in October and there seaweed on the beach and in the water. Some days were better than others. One day we could not go in since it was so dirty.

the resorts have tractors that clean it up on the beach .. it comes back eventually .. by 09:00 it's all gone. or sooner. the waters edge can look like rice a rony on heavy days..lol.. where are you staying .. some resorts barely get any , ever.

I would count on having seaweed, possibly heavy. Prepare for the worst then if the water is clear will be nice. It can change overnight.
