Just back from Ocean Blue

What a great resort. My wife and I had a great time. Great weather, beach and overall beautiful resort.

Got in at 2:30 am and had to work today so haven't had a chance to gather my thoughts and write a review but will over the weekend. Until then any questions?

vivanueva,

Thanks for posting!

Any idea how much the massages cost?

Was there free WiFI in the lobby?

Did you happen to go to the pay restaurant and if so how was it?

Thanks!

We leave in one week. so yes I do have some questions I'd like answers for.

Did you see many mosquitos or get many bites?

What did you think of the beds? Last yr we went to the Riu Mambo in Puerto Plata and found the beds very hard and there was this awful plastic sheet under the cotton one.

Is there room service and if so is it included in the AI?

Thanks in advance for the info.

Sorry I'm just getting to these. My sister in law had her twins today.

Massage costs were $55 for half and $80 for an hour but we were sitting by the massage tables on the beach one day and she offered them for $40 for a half. We didn't partake so don;t know about the quality.

We didn't go to the pay restaurants. Paid enough for the trip. The other restaurants were good and great. Really enjoyed the Mexican and beach grill. The Italian had a great antipasto bar and the meal was ok.

My wife got one bite. I got 6-8. I seem to be a magnet.

The beds were very comfortable. No plastic sheets here. We had a king which was great since we only have a queen at home.

I think room service is only included for those who upgrade to privilege. You can read a lot on here about privilege. The consensus is upgrading is not worth the money.

One note to mention is all the public restrooms were immaculate. Even the one on the beach was clean all the time. I was very impressed with that. I think you can tell a lot about a resort by the condition of its public restrooms.

Any more?

Water and pepsi were filled every day. Beer was only on the first day.

If you ask nicely and tip the maids they will give you beer everyday.

There was crab the one night we went to the buffet. Some of the restaurants you can pay a little extra ($15-$20) for lobster.

How much would you recommend to get bear restocked in the mini-fridge?
