How much do you tip on excursions?

How much money do you normally tip when you go on a excursion and receive good service? Do you pay a percentage of the total paid like in a restaurant or a set dollar amount per person? Found lots of tipping advise for at the resort but nothing really for excursions when I searched it. We are 2 adults and 2 kids. Thanks for your help

Last March, while staying at Excellence, we went for a Dunn Buggy excursion. I would say we were gone some 2 1/2 hours. I gave our Tour Guide $10.00 US, which I felt he deserved. My husband however felt that it was way too much....

So....I don't know....

We tipped our guide on the bus $10 on the Canopy tour. I didn't see a lot of other people tipping but he definitely earned it! It's personal - I think tips are definitely appreciated but not expected.

I gave our tour guy $30 I think, but then again that was after he didn't charge for our kids and shared his pizza with us. I think he also bought us a couple beers.

Somehow we came ahead on this one!!
