Have you tried using an insurance comparison site like kanetix.ca - you put in the details of your trip and check yes for needing coverage for a pre-existing condition and it will spit out the names of companies that will handle them. Your premiums will obviously be higher but better safe than sorry.

We were looking for something due to hubby's pre-existing + the fact that he turned 60 last June. So we're covered & took the Annual coverage.

My mum has used travelguard.ca before. There are a lot of questions to answer if you have a pre-existing condition but worth a look.

I just used www.insuremytrip.com

Amazing site that compares tons of companies and policies.

I paid $23 for the 2 of us as a supplement to the insurance I bought through expedia.

My wife has a pre-exsisting condition and Trawick International had good coverage for this, just click the medical tab.

It looks like the options are limited for Canadians though, but worth a shot

You may pay more for insurance but you just might need to use it. If so, you have it and will greatful whatever the cost
