What has the weather been like recently on 7 mile beach? We will be there August 26-31 and there seems to be quite a bit of rain in the forecast.
I'd plan on variable weather. Hurricane season and all.
This is rainy season.
During rainy season, the weather forecast will show "rain" nearly every day. Most days, that means passing showers in the afternoon. Depending on your location, you may get a short downpour and back to business, or you may just watch a passing storm out over the water or over Georgetown. And then, of course, occasionally it will cloud up and rain for 2-3 days. Most years when we go for 10-14 days in late August, that never happens.
We're headed there in mid-September for our 10 year anniversary and are crossing our fingers that the weather cooperates. I am pretty familiar with how the forecast can say rainy all the time but you hardly every actually see any rain. When we were in the Bahamas in May for 5 days we didn't have 1 good "beach day" the entire time. We had like 3-4 hours on 2 of the days but otherwise it was overcast and/or rainy which did put a damper on the vacation. I hope we don't have a repeat of that!
Weather has been great. Its breezy and cooler than normal for August. There are scattered thunderstorms across the caribbean at this time of year. The showers tend to be short and very localised. Good news is that the rain is warm and does not last long - it quickly drys up.
You will definitely have good days on the beach.....perhaps not long full days, but rest assured, you will have beach time.
Oh so it's YOUR fault! Do something to fix that neck of yours, please, so that everyone can enjoy their time on island more!
We have had spotty showers per usual at this time of year. A couple of stronger thunder storms which have blown over with if 30-45 minutes. Mostly sunny weather with highs around 85-90 F.
