Most of the time it takes is when you reach the outskirts of POS and have to wend your way to the Savannah. A quicker route would be to go over the Lady Young road which would bring you out at the NE corner of the Savannah. From there it is less than 2 miles to the entrance of the sitting/viewing area and you could easily walk it.
But if you're taking a taxi from the airport the driver should know this.Edited: 09 January 2018, 11:44
