Virgin Islands National Park and government shutdown

We will be on island beginning April 15. If there is a government shutdown next Saturday, will beach access be stopped? I imagine Trunk won't be fully staffed, but will it be open? Thanks.

The beaches will still be open. Might mean no lifeguard on Trunk, but also probably no charge to go. Have fun!

If Congress does not pass a budget bill by next Saturday all "non-essential" services will stop until the bill passes. This hasn't happened since the 1990's. Typically, this means that things like national parks will be closed. Sounds like it won't impact St. John much.
