Grand Hyatt Baha Mar

Are all the restaurants open yet? How is the food here? Do the rooms have walk in showers? Is there a hot tub outside? Are all the bars open too?

We are at Baha Mar now. There are plenty of restaurants open and all the food we’ve had is pretty good/excellent. The whole place is pricey but that is expected. The staff is very attentive. We had an issue with the check-in process that was less than stellar but I don’t think that is the norm. The rooms have walk in showers, or at least the suites do. We are enjoying our time here so far. The place is only at 40% occupancy so it seems somewhat empty. We headed to Atlantis just to be around more of a crowd and that was fun, but you can tell the place is outdated and is geared more towards families. I suspect once Baha Mar opens their own water park in a year or two it will turn that way too.

Lots of nice restaurants in Cable Beach and Sandyport that are a short cab ride away. We like Social House for sushi, Capriccio for Italian in Cable Beach. Poop Deck, Blue Sail and Twisted Lime in Sandyport are good as well.
