Hola.

For “amazing” fish we can recommend:

L'échalote: located in Chahue at the Hotel Posada Eden Costa, has become our favorite as the food is International but with wonderful Oaxacan dishes AND it is only a 3-minute walk from where we live….and the prices are mid-range.

Grillo Marinero: on Calle Carrizal and Macuhitle in La Crucecita. This place is a local favorite and was featured on the Travel Channel. Inexpensive to mid-range prices.

Sabor de Oaxaca: at Guamuchil #204 in La Crucecita for GREAT regional

Oaxacan cuisine and margueritas. Mid-range price.

The Onyx restaurant in La Crucecita (on the second floor overlooking the Zocalo) is also VERY good, but also expensive.

Cafe Vienna/Astriaco: in the Hotel Plaza in Tangolunda for Austrian, Mexican, and Thai flavors. Expensive, but the hosts are VERY engaging and the food is heavenly. Caution: NO credit cards.

…and though it is MUCH MUCH further (perhaps an hour by boat or car), try Charlie's place in Bahia San Agustin: if you catch it, Charlie will cook it!

Hope this helps. Your questions are always welcome.

Abrazos,

Matt

as you walk towards the ocean along the walk past the Condos and Hurricane Divers, its the last of the 3 restaurants on the right. She has a small palapa in addition to tables inside , outside and on the playa.
