Same as US, just watch it because sometimes the outlets on run off a wall switch - when you turn off the lights your turn off the outlet and the batteries don't get charged - BTDT

I understand that the outlets are not polarized. Will it damage your battery charger or batteries if it is plugged in the wrong way (upside down?)

Mexican outlets are (generally) not polarized or grounded. I use the MAHA charger and they don't have polarized pugs, so I've never thought about it before. If you have a polarized plug, you'll need an adapter (hardware store) to plug it into non-polarized outlets.

Something we've noticed also is that there are not many outlets. We're going to bring a power strip on this trip.

Don't bother with a power strip. You can get a 1-to-3 plug at Lowes for a buck.
