Sac Bajo Road

The Sac Bajo Road is currently under construstion for the placement of new water lines so be extra careful when visiting in the area. Lots of ditches & one lane traffic.

There really is not much by Villa Rolandi. There's Zama beach club but it closes in the evening; Playa Tiburon also closes fairly early. But by cab there are several places closer than downtown so there's always that option if you don't feel like going to centro.

Quite a few places in La Gloria. About 2-2 1/2 miles from Villa Rolandi's. When we stayed at Cristalmar(next to Playa Tiburon) we always walked to La Gloria.

I wouldn't recommend VR unless you are prepared to spend a decent amount of cash. Either at the restaurant or in $160peso round trip cab fares. VR is amazing and I'll finish my tr early next week, but it's not cheap.

Thanks for all the pertinent advice . We only have a short time on the island in a larger touring trip and we don't mind some long exploring walks so we'll manage with that and some cab rides but I do appreciate the tips and will put them to use . Thanks

If you're going soon before the road work is complete I would definitely read posts 8 and 9 on previous page about walking the road from Villa Rolandi. With it all torn up and under construction it's probably not a great idea, especially not at night.

Gotcha , TravelerNewYork . It's kind of you not to mention our almost certain alcohol consumption but we'll cab back for sure . Cheers !

LOL, yeah, cab back at night is a much better option than tripping into ditches. Due to road construction, of course, nothing else ;-)

What a great idea! Sac Bajo could definitely use a restaurant and this one has a perfect setting. Thanks for letting us know :)

Any update on the road condition? Is it in good enough condition for a golf cart?
