www.vancouvertours.com --- Landsea takes you first into Vic to visit there, then to Butchart Gardens for a while before returning to Van.
If it's a nice day, it's a great day trip.
Here are some things in Victoria to consider:
Inner Harbour Causeway
Victoria harbour ferry ride, http://victoriaharbourferry.com/
Butchart Gardens – ~2 hours - www.butchartgardens.com/index.php…
Royal BC Museum – ~2 hours, royalbcmuseum.bc.ca/Exhibit_Gall/default.aspx
Emily Carr House
The Victoria Bug Zoo http://www.bugzoo.bc.ca/
Abkhazi Gardens - …conservancy.bc.ca/properties/…
4 self guided heritage walks http://www.victoria.ca/visitors/wlkngt.shtml
I'm with Dave - with so many other terrific options, spending all day on a bus just doesn't seem like the best option.
If you want a wonderful day out that includes a ferry, what about taking the ferry from Horseshoe Bay to Snug Cove on Bowen Island, then taking a kayaking trip or walking around Killarney Lake? This would be a lovely day out that doesn't spend quite so long in transit.
