Would like to do a seaplane sight seeing your end of September
All the seaplane flights out of Victoria are scenic tours... You just pay less for the scheduled city to city ones.
Not sure what "your end of September" is (half an hour later? ha ha), but anyway wanderer has a good point.
how are you getting to Victoria? I can recommend the flight from Seattle (via Kenmore Air, which also has tours in that area), but indeed the best one is the Harbour Air route Vancouver Harbour / Victoria Harbour.
As for the Harbour Air tours, I am not certain that they are still offered as late as the end of October. That is probably because the weather is much less reliable by then, especially in the mornings when fog is commonplace. So if you do manage to find tour bookings then, try to get one in the afternoon.
It is just for sightseeing preferably Sunday October 1st. Would like to see more of the island inland and rugged coastline as we will not be driving and only have 3 days.
The sight seeing flights tend to have fixed itineraries based on safety. Not sure that your definition of "rugged coastline" and theirs would mesh.
Also remember that the Harbour Air and other float planes are visually based, they do not fly on instrument status (in other words, no go in the fog or low cloud)
If you have the $$$ you can do a private charter with Harbor Air. You need to contact them directly.
What you're talking about is more the actual west coast of the island as opposed to Victoria.
Tofino Air also do charters..they would fly to Victoria take you over the coast then back to Victoria..not cheap I expect but certainly doable
Mufti, see post #1. :)
Ha ha ha ha. My brother has been here.
