Day trip from Moncton?

I will be in Moncton later in April with my husband and 3 year old. We enjoy driving (and it makes the little guy sleepy too...).

What are doable day trip destination/loop that would pack the best value for sightseeing and experience?

this is good circular route. along the coast with the beaches in Shediac and then Cap Pele to see Acadian villages then a view of the confederation bridge and stop in Sackville to see Mount Allison University campus. http://g.co/maps/eteg5

or for a shorter drive.

head to Bouctouche for lunch at La Sagouine Restaurant for lobster roll.

and on the way back detour to Shediac and Parlee Beach if it is a sunny day.

A great day trip is also to Fundy National Park. It is a 1 1/2 hour drive from Moncton. Fundy boasts the highest tides in the world and you follow the shoreline to the ocean.

This will take you by the world famous 'Rocks'...Worth a stop as you can walk on the ocean floor and take awesome pictures of the worlds largest flower pots.

Along the way there's shops, museums & stores to explore if you wish.

Enjoy your trip!
