You can pretty much rely on there being snow in January and February. It might start in December and it snowed here this week, but it doesn’t stay and is unusual.

Clothing.... well winter clothing is needed. Heavy coats, or jackets, boots, gloves, hats that cover your ears.

Yes..it snows in Toronto. Most notably from December through to March. Though saying that we had snow flurries yesterday (April 5th) outside the city so Im sure that they probably had a little bit in the city itself.

If you aren't used to snow and want to see some then sure, visit in the winter but be prepared for cold temperatures such as -10c and lower. Though in this day and age of climate change the temperatures are so variable that this past winter we had 12c during January and early February.

As for clothing, bring layers that you can add and remove. Gloves, a scarf and a woolly hat wouldnt go amiss either.

Years back, it even snowed one day during the first week in May.

Normally, April days are a bit chilly, and up to the third week in May we may get a number of days where it rains. By Doors Open Toronto (May 26&27) we start to get sunny days and warmer weather.
