PEI in late August

We are travelling to PEI in late August. Never been. We are staying for a week. We want to spend a day or two in Charlottetown then rent something by the beach. But where? Any suggestions? Some of the activities we want to do is go to the beach, golf and fish the Morell river. My gf wants to eat lobster. We will rent a car.

Kings Byway Drive might lead you to one of the two following museums. Would the area around the Fisheries museum interest you for it location on shore or the Elmira Railway museum? Green Park Museum in the more western part of the province is near beaches and scenic landscape. Try the Lady Slipper Drive on for size. Orwell Corner or North Cape or Egmont Cap area. We might select PEI national park area and Gulf Shore Parkway. Staying close to Charlottetown has advantages. Blue Heron Drive has access to areas that might appeal to you. Itemize or identify and indicate your preferences and if they emerge as priorities group them according to location and proximity. You are dealing with more than geography. Are you really acclimated to spend time with things found in cities? How deep and long arranging are your interest in just staying near beaches or just camping? Will golf and fishing take you away from towns? Which ones?

Did you see this post? It covers some of your questions.

Beaches are everywhere but most cottages require a minimum of a week rental. We always stay in Cavendish or North Rustico area. Golf courses are in the area, many places to get lobster, and the National Park beaches are wonderful. About 25 minutes to Charlottetown so easy to drive in for the day.
