Upper Town Accomodations for 8 in June?

Looking forward to visiting this wonderful city for 3 or 4 nights in June with a group of 8 (6 adults, 2 children) and looking for recommendations in Upper Town. I tried searching the Hotel listings, but it can only query up to 4 people.

Looking to keep total to around $300US/night, open to suggestions as for accomodation type - rental apt, B&B, hotel are all options as is splitting the party up but will need at least 3 BR's total due to some loud snorers in the party! Will be coming from Maine and will have 2 cars, prefer to park and be able to walk around upper/lower town sites while in town but will also be looking into sites nearby/out of town.

Thanks for the help!

Have you tried the Royal Palace hotel? They have suites and is very well located at Place D'Youville. I find it is best to contact the hotel directly to see what they have to offer. As for the snorers in your party you could buy them some Breathe Right nasal strips. They work quite well.

Email the owner of Royal Dalhousie. He has condos in the lower town, but I also understand he manages some in the Upper Town too. http://www.royaldalhousie.com/

There are 3 different condos on different floors of the same historical house on Rue Desjardins. First one, Maison Ursulines (38 rue Desjardins) being on the main floor and in the basement and is totally luxurious and priced accordingly but the two other ones might fit the bill for your group. I particularly recommend this specific spot in general since it is located just 2 minutes from the touristy things but totally secluded + they have a good corner store just a few doors away on the absolutely charming little place. It is also less than 5 minutes to park at the underground City Hall parking.

This one is a really big house that might fit too: http://www.vrbo.com/77520

Finally check with this group, they manage many places around but it seems that the less expensive studios/rooms might not be up to par but a slight increase in price can bring a lot more: http://www.hotelsvieuxquebec.com/

Hi Sawston123,

Also be sure and check out both TA’s SPECIALTY LODGING Section (click on QUEBEC CITY HOTELS… then choose SPECIALTY LODGING from the Menu at the top of the page)… as well as the HOLIDAY RENTALS Section… you’ll find Private Rentals listed in both categories… those in the latter are thru TripAdvisor’s Sister Website FLIPKEY, and so the REVIEWS there go thru a process to ensure they are legit (no surprises of things not being as they seemed in photos etc when one arrives… always a concern when looking at Private Rentals). All-in-all what I would call a lot more reliable / safer... than renting sight unseen off the Internet.

I have used the HOLIDAY RENTALS Section in the past (albeit for another Destination) with a FLIPKEY listed property and was quite pleased… would certainly do it again.

Also, when you do find a few possibilities, come back to the FORUM for more info… ALL Tourist Rentals in the Province of Quebec, MUST Be registered with the Provincial Tourism Office… this protects both the Landlord and the Guest… we can quickly tell you by looking at the appropriate website (which is all in French) IF the property you have in mind is good to go.
