Im suppose to go stay there in a week or so...
Stayed there for a week in January. It is managed by 2 very nice people, Jackie and Carlos. They were very helpful. The only problem, we could never get our TV to work, not their fault. You will need a car to get around because nothing to do at the complex. The place is older but it was very clean and doing a good job of fixing it up.. Have a great time in St. Maarten!
Oh great! Any suggestions on things to do, places to eat, things to watch out for? it's our first time... Did you take the ferry over to Anguilla or barts?
I don't know where to start. You are only 5 minutes from Phillispburg great restaurants Greenhouse, Chesterfields and a lot more. The boardwalk has lots of places to eat in drink. Go to front street for all your shopping, busy on cruise ship days. This is all in Phillipsburg. Go to Orient beach at least once you will fine a great beach with a lot of eating places.
Grand Case is another great place. They have harmoney nights on Tuesday street is blocked off with vendors selling their goods. Also great restaurents some are pricey all the way down to the lolos ( big grills set up grilling ribs, chicken etc. with eating at a picinic table) good food for good price.. The Dutch side has several casinos. We like the Princess one with 2 great restaurants, Peg Leg Petes is one of our favorites..
If you get time go to Maho and go to the Sunset bar and watch the planes come in. It is something to see the big planes land and take off.
We have been to St Maarten several times and always discover something new. We are going back in April...
You asked about anguilla we did take a ferry over there once. It is quiet and the water beautiful.
It's really awesome here! We are going to swim with the dolphins, party bus, farewell sail, we are def doing Harmony Tuesday and Peg Leg Petes! Who has really good breakfast? Thanks for the referrals!! We will be back here again next year for sure. It sucks though that none of the places really take credit cards, especially for gas!! The places that do have a minimum requirement thats ridiclous... No biggie, Im over it just because of everything else : )
Is there any place to see a picture of Vista Al Puerto? Is it on the beach? do rooms have balcony? or outside access? do you need rental car to see cool stuff? or can you walk to shopping? food expensive there?
It is not on a beach and they have no pool. You will need a car to get around to any of the beaches or restaurants. We had a one bedroom with a balcony. It is a good place if you just want it for sleeping and a little down time
Yes food is expensive but worth every dime! Green House (steak is ridiculous!), Pineapple Petes ( Lobster Amazing! excellent service), Pizza Galley (great Pizza and home made cake! we ate here like 3times) and Zee Best (breakfast spot) are must eats! I dont remember spending anything less than $60 at the most $130 per dinning experience and we don't drink alcohol so be prepared lol.
This is Carlos from Vista Al Puerto, I glad those who have stayed enjoyed themselves. We are close to 3/4 way finished with a new pool, should be operational by mid Dec. also coming is a honor pool bar. Great things happening here. Should you have any questions concerning Vista Al Puerto, please feel free to email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
im visiting in mid-january, will the pool be ready? we really hope it will. what is temperature in january? thanks , see you next month!
