Your trip overall is not too bad but I think you dont' have enough time allocated to each place, because the travel time will eat up so much of it. I'm assuming the Malang part is to go to Bromo?

Also the Gili Lombok part will take up a long travel day each way and since you will be going to Komodo I would do your beach/dive/snorkel in West Flores where you will already be. In other words I think you can skip the Gilis.

MangoMunky, thank you so much for your suggestions. Yes, Bromo is my reason for wanting to visit Malang. It looks like a beautiful area to explore.

If I stay in West Flores instead of going to Gili Air (Day 9, 10, & 11 on my itinerary), do you have any recommendations for those days? (I am primarily interested in nature. . .wildlife.)

I do not want to stray too far from Komodo National Park because that was next on the itinerary.

I would do the Lombok to Labuan Bajo 4-day boat trip instead.
