We booked 2 nights in advance and after the first night, hotel cleaning staff cleaned out our refrigerator, we came home late(after the train)with nothing to eat or drink. When I enquired about this, the lady behind the desk became agitated, called in the cleaning staff, fought with them, with me, and became very indignant that nothing wrong had been done. No apology offered, twice repeated that she would pay for the missing items, but never made good on it. This is the worst hotel service I have ever encountered, and I can't seem to find a head office or a contact to look into this. I would expect that when a mistake is made, you apologize and try to make good for it, not get hostile and indignant about it. Anybody with any advice on how to resolve this? It was only about $30-$40 worth of groceries and toiletries, but it was a major inconvenience, and the confrontation was most upsetting. I don't think this unprofessional behaviour should be tolerated in the hotel industry, and should be looked into.
