Lake Newell White Pelicans

Hello,

We are in Brooks right now and heard about the White Pelicans in Lake Newell.

Where would be the best place to view these Pelicans?

Unfortunately we don't have too much time so this would be a quick stop and go visit.

Thank you in advance.

Kinbrook Island Provincial Park. Also, keep your eyes open for flying pelicans - the huge wingspan, whit wings with black trailing edges, and giant bill make them easy to identify.

Thank you for the quick reply.

Are they quite abundant, or will we need to search for them?

There is a protected, colony at Lake Newell, so they shouldn't be too hard to find. But there's always an element of luck when looking for wildlife.
