One or two nights

We are stopping at Qualicum Beach en route to Tofino in an r.v..Is one night enough? Or does it warrant two nights?

Agree with Alegre...you can easily "do" Qualicum in an afternoon/evening and then head for more interesting places. Don't forget to stop at Coombs to see the goats and other attractions on your way to Tofino.

If you want a more "woodsy" camping experience and don't need hook-ups for the RV for one night, try Englishman River or Little Qualicum Falls provincial parks above Qualicum. Beautiful walking trails along the rivers overlooking the falls. Some huge trees too if that's of interest.

I might do two nights there, but that would depend on how many nights total you have, and where else you plan on visiting.

Horne Lakes for some spelunking would be fun. Rathtrevor Beach, just south of Parksville, is great when the tide is out. And you could easily visit Coombs Country Market and Englishman River Falls on a day trip from Qualicum Beach.

That way, you would have more time to stop other places on the drive out to Tofino.
