I've stayed in Duncans Bay (on the water so about 10 minutes drive from Duncans town) several times. I've hung out on that gorgeous beach, walked to some local caves, taken a couple of road trips into the cockpits (right there via Clarks Town for Windsor Cave and some nice river swimming, then another time towards Discovery Bay to Dornoch's Head). Went over to Glistening Waters on evening to do that boat ride, it's so close.
I have some photos and descriptions of these trips: http://travelsinjamaica.com/?s=duncan

(I recently moved my blog and am still replacing broken photo links on some of the posts, so apologies in advance if any are missing).
Edited: 8 years agoNice where are you staying?
I went to one of those Caves Ohliz mentioned and definitely druve thru the hills.! Have you been to Nine Mile? Closer from there than Mobay.thete ate many great cove beaches to check out as well.
Glistening Waters is great!
Maybe do Martha Brae bamboo rafting first.
Save some of that Jack Daniels for Duncans :)
PEACE!
From Mobay stop at the Far Out Fish Hut -grest food, view and beach!
PEACE!
I will be at Jamaica Jewel. I do believe that is where Olhliz stayed based on her blog. Looks cozy. I'm excited.
Thanks for the suggestions. Making my notes.
I'll be going there from Negril. I'm doing a few days in Mobay, then Just one overnight in Negril then over to Duncans. I'm heading over there to meet up with friends staying in Runaway Bay.
I'm thinking two bottles of Jack this time. Lol Or just suck it up and drink rum. :-)
Yes that's the place! Ohliz reccomended it years ago and a friend from work stayed there.
Have a great trip!
PEACE!
Yup, that's the spot. I love it there. And Barry is the one who took me to the local cave, so ask him to show you too.
Just hanging on that beach is so nice. Almost empty except Sundays, and Leroys is a nice spot to chill and have a beer.
