I plan to go to Penzance with my bf at the end of June. Just wonder if I can swim in the sea? Can you recommend some places good to go?
yes, you can swim in the sea but it will be cold!
Yes. There are various groups of swimmers who swim from Battery rocks (tip of the jubilee pool) at different times of day. There's a group at 7am.
(they swim throughout the year, even in winter)
Hi. The sea is clear and nearly warm in June. I belong to the group Battery Belles and Buoys. You can find us on FB. We swim most days from Battery Rocks, just in front of the Lido, walk past the War Memorial at
11 o'clock. Depending on tide, sea conditions and weather you will meet swimmers there from sun rise to sun set. If the sea is too rough we relocate to the harbour. People swim of the promenade and of different slips . Please keep an eye on the tides, they are quite strong. Sea temp is 12 degrees at the moment. Enjoy
