St Ives for New Years eve

Hi there,

A group of us are keen to go to St Ives for new years this year and wondered if many of the restaurants would be open late dec/early jan? Any tips from people who had had NYE there before as heard its supposed to be amazing.

Many thanks in advance

Lots of restaurants will be open at that time (or any time) so have no worries on that score. As for NYE, it looks like this (if the weather is kind) http://youtu.be/1JJmcJBJ-_8

Hi

As Pastyman has said, lots of restaurants will be open. There really are only the odd one or two that close during the winter months these days. I haven't been down for New Year for quite a few years now so that may well have changed as St Ives is definitely an all year round resort.

New Year's Eve is amazing in St Ives. You need to decide where you want to go, as far as restaurants are concerned, and book a table as soon as they announce their New Year Menu to ensure that you get somewhere. Have fun.

Hi

we have been to st ives for the last 5 years and is also going this year. There is a couple of ways you can plan the evening. Eat late afternoon on new years eve and then go back get change in to fancy dress and walk around st ives and all the local bars or book a table in 1 of the restaurants for about 8.30/9pm and keep the table for the rest of the night. if you book a table in the harbour you will be able to watch the fireworks from the restaurant. most of the restaurants stay open till about 1.30am. fancy dress is a must and most of the restaurants get booked up so dont leave it too late to book if you are a large group. Alot of the restaurants do a set menu which is around £50 per person.
