The Dartmouth Inn is definitely not trendy or swank, however I had 2 very decent, filling meals, a good pint at reasonable prices instead of the overpriced trendy ilk, which seems to abound in Totnes. As a lone lady who enjoys the less-traveled roads I was very comfortable. I liked the front patio under big trees; the inside was quiet away from the bar, clean & light enough to read my book in peace as I ate. The barman & waitress were polite & very accommodating. I eat my main meal before 6pm - the atmosphere may change later in day. If you want glitz, give this a pass.
