Flooding in Totnes or ok?

We are coming to Totnes in a few weeks time.

Is there flooding or is everything ok?

Thanks!

At the moment the weather is dire in Devon and Cornwall (currently no main line trains west of Exeter).

But as you are going 'in a few weeks time'. unless there are more storms at that time there shouldn't be a problem.

if you are travelling by train I would plan for delays as you are likely to have to bus part of the route. The damage to the line is already severe with another storm expected. Obviously they'll try to fix the line as soon as they can but they are saying several weeks.

Tonight they are saying that the line at Dawlish will take at least 6 weeks to repair... (all supposing that we don't have further damage...)

You may still have to take a bus from Exeter if the rail line not repaired by then. If you watch this you will see why its going to take weeks to repair. channel4.com/news/storm-flood-uk-weather-sou…

Thank you for that - I shall check again nearer the time!

We are driving down - I had wanted to take the train from Totnes to Plymouth for the day, but we can always drive there if the trains don't come back.
