House In Banham

Hi we are renting a huge house (Haugh Farm) for a family celebration. Can anyone elaborate on what is in the area?

Is there a village with pub/restaurant or any shops?

Only looking to spend maybe an afternoon or morning away from the house.

Don't know anything about the area, apart from there's a Zoo.

Don't really fancy that as it will be November and pretty damp and cold I should imagine.

Many thanks

If you get a bright cold day dont discount the zoo, it is excellent. I often went out of season and the animals are a lot more active when it is cooler. In July /August they sleep all the hours the zoo is open

. The best time for a zoo visit is a bright day in January!!

Here are few ideas. The small town of Diss is only 7 miles away and contains a number of pubs , shops and cafes.
