Travelling from Fife to Glasgow

We are soon to be staying at Hilton William St. We are coming from Fife but donnt know whether to take the train or the bus, def not bringing car. We wondered how close to the hotel we can get by using one of these forms of transport, dont really want to use taxis if we dont have to and we dont mind walking a bit so if anyone can help that would be magic!!

The Hilton is a rather awkward place to get to.Have a look at a Google map.

I suggest you get a taxi from the bus or train station, perhaps 5 or 6 pounds.

If you want to avoid taxis, you could take the train from fife to Haymarket in Edinburgh, and then from there a direct train to Charing Cross station in Glasgow - which is a 5 min walk from the Hilton on William St. Www.nationalrail.com for timetables.

Abs :)

Any particular reason for not using the car? TBH the easiest way.

As suggested look at Google maps, the hilton is in the financial district so tucked away but is walkable from the stations (8 to 15 mins depending which one, a taxi from queen st is less than a fiver.
