The high speed service from Maidstone WEST only runs in peak hours

The rest of the time you take a train to Strood then fast train from there

Hi cswvcr,

You can download the current timetable, valid from 9 Dec - 18 May, at southeasternrailway.co.uk/your-journey/…

To summarise (as the timetable is a little complicated!), please note this is a very limited service aimed at commuters - the only direct links are Monday-Friday as follows:

departs St Pancras 06:22, arrives Maidstone West 07:12

departs St Pancras 17:16, arrives Maidstone West 18:05

departs St Pancras17:46, arrives Maidstone West 18:45

departs St Pancras 18:16, arrives Maidstone West 19:05

departs Maidstone West 06:55, arrives St Pancras 07:45

departs Maidstone West 07:25, arrives St Pancras 08:16

departs Maidstone West 07:55, arrives St Pancras 08:45

departs Maidstone West 18:42, arrives St Pancras 19:32

All other trains require a change at Strood (marked by 'b' on the timetable).

Where do you want to get to in London? Apart from connecting Maidstone to Eurostar at Ebbsfleet, it's really only useful if you're going to Stratford, East London or Docklands, or for an onward train from Stratford, St Pancras, King's Cross or Euston without having to take the tube.

Also, don't expect a "high-speed" experience as it only runs on the HS1 line between St Pancras and Ebbsfleet (17 mins) most of which is in a tunnel.
