If you want to be close to the stadium and want to give yourself a treat then
The Hotel Football is an option
It was fronted by a few United players but I expect it gets booked out for match days and could be expensive
Thanks Leuca! Yes it is fully booked on the match day 11 Aug.
Thanks PMQuestion! Just had a look from the website, it is fully booked too.
It looks like the date of the match will not be changed as the hotel are fully booked for that night.
Try the link I posted earlier there are a few more hotels listed close to OT
Another option would be to stay somewhere on the outskirts and get a tram into OT
Thanks Leuca! It’s what I have been thinking too. Staying in the outskirt seems to be cheaper too. Not sure which are the newer hotel and in a convenient location. Have search through the Hotel section in TA but didn’t indicate if the hotel is new.
Why do you need a new hotel? Most of the better hotels are refurbished regularly anyway.
the Holiday Inn near Piccadilly station is only a couple of years old and the Malmaison adjacent is a nice hotel.
I generally find it convenient to stay near the main ststion - bags can be left at the hotel and only picked bup when you are ready to catch the train.
“It looks like the date of the match will not be changed as the hotel are fully booked for that night.”
The TV companies haven’t yet released the information on games they are covering so no guarantees for the date, yet.
IMO stay in the city centre rather than 2.5 miles outside it in OT area. Good tram system getting to and from the stadium.
A hotel called Innside is quite new and looks good; and convenient for all you will be doing.
Keep your arrangements flexible, the match may (or may not) change KO and/or date)Edited: 26 June 2018, 04:34
Motel one Piccadilly or cross street and tram to match
