Ferry from Tenerife (TFS) to La Gomera

Hi, is the airport (TFS) whichever one that is! close to the ferry terminal for la gomera and do the ferries run in February? Is it easy to get from the airport to the ferry terminal and how much does the ferry cost for just passengers?

Tenerife south (TFS) is the closest airport (most international flights arrive here). There are ferries all year round. The transfer to the ferry port at Los Cristianos by taxi takes about half an hour and should cost about 20 euros.

Prices for ferry vary depending on dates, how soon you book them and flexibility of ticket.

On average the cheapest adult return without car is between 60 and 70 Euros.

There are two companies that run this route. They are Fred Olsen and Armas. To book go directly to their web sites at:

fredolsen.es/movil/compra/ls/resultados_do

Or

https://www.navieraarmas.com/en/home

You can just turn up and buy a ticket but these will be slightly more expensive. Ferries unlikely to be full unless it’s a special fiesta day.

Worslesr, is it really worth booking ahead?

We know our dates (october 19 and back on 25). We are still awaiting the NA timetables for the return date, they are not public yet. Would prefer the slow ferry.

Those ferry tickets seem expensive!

There are occasional offer prices but you would need to keep checking the web site for this. Slow ferry not actually much cheaper than fast one (if at all). Note fadtvferry is a big ship so done equate fast with unstable/seasickness.

Probably OK with just turning up but just check gomeralive site in case dates match any of the large Firsta dates.
