Christmas Markets

Am visiting Barcelona at the end of November. Does anyone know if the Christmas markets will be up & running by then?

the website of Fira de Santa Llucia still has 2010 dates so hard to tell. Last year it only started on 3rd Dec but 2009 it was from 28th Nov.

Keep checking, eventually they will update it! http://es.firadesantallucia.cat/calendari.php

But Santa Llucia is fairly low-key, mainly crib figures and Xmas decorations. Few gifts and no food stalls, unlike the German Christmas markets where food and drink play such a big part. Here. for gifts the big one is Fira de Sant Tomas i Reis but that is from around St Thomas's day (21st Dec) to Epiphany/Reis (closes early hours of 6th Jan). Then there are churros and chocolate on sale
