3 day trip in Catania

Hello everyone reading this :)

So I'm a planning a 3 day trip with my mum, grandma and bro to Catania. We will be arriving to Catania on Saturday around 10:30 am and leave on Monday 18:00.

I would love some suggestions of good places to visit ,clothes shopping, eat etc..I thought of spending Saturday and Monday in Catania and maybe Sunday visit Taormina or Siracusa. We will not have a car, so travelling will be made by public transport or train.

Any other suggestions are welcome:)

Welcome to Sicily Jessica C!

That's a great plan!

Catania is quiet on Sundays, and so Sunday is a good day to day trip to Taormina or Siracusa,

Both Taormina and Siracusa are easily reached from Catania by train or Interbus.

It's easier to arrive in Taormina by bus. Taormina's train station is located below the town and requires a bus up to town.

You might visit Porte di Catania on Saturday, but then spend all day Monday in Catania.

Take AMT bus #523 to Porte di Catania:

Plan to begin with Catania's market on Monday morning. The market isn't open on Sundays.
