Lunch by the Duomo ish.....

Aloha,

gosh you people have been so amazing . You all have helped build my trip beautifully.

I have a question about lunch by the Duomo or at least nearby.

We will be spending our morning in this area.

We have a 12pm reserved spot to climb the Duomo.

I'm assuming I'll probably be down by 13:00

Which puts us at a perfect time for lunch.

I know we are in an extremely high tourist area, but I was wondering if there is a restaurant nearby that I could walk to and have a spectacular lunch at a decent price.

I don't mind walking back streets. I would love to make a reservation for it as well to secure a time slot.

Later on in the evening around 20:30 pm we have reservations at La Cuccina Del Garga. Much anticipated . :0

Any expert or local advice would be wonderful.

Thank you so much again.

I leave for Italy in 7 days. OMG!!!!

I actually found one and made a reservation through Open Fork for Trattoria L'Oriuolo

Looks good and inexpensive plus 20% off ala carte.

Pretty cool

A terrific place in the center for a typical, light Tuscan lunch is the Cantinetta dei Verrazzano. It's about a five-minute walk south of the Duomo, just a few steps east east of the Via dei Calzaiuoli.

They serve salads, "salumi", cheeses, terrific home-made breads, etc., all washed down with good Verrazzano wines.

That's Castello di Verrazzano's place, isn't it. I had totally forgotten about it! Thanks! :)

They have delicious pastries, too - and their coffee is really good.
