Try Yellow Bar in Florence. €50 and serves two.

Piazza della Signoria in Florence has a couple of restaurants with outdoor terraces that serve bistecca for one person, which is hard to find, but great if there are some in your party who do not eat red meat. Cost was 18-28 Euro per person (depending on the restaurant), and you can't beat the view!

Went to a restaurant called Lantini(I think), found it while looking for Cocco Lezzone. Here we shared our table with 2 other couples.

While we didn't order the Bistecca, the American girls sitting next to us did. One of them was a chef.

The Bistecca was huge, and for 2, which they couldn't finished. I tried a little of it and it was amazing.. So tender, like nothing I have tried before. The cost was around 40 Euro.

TRUST ME when I say this...

There are only two places where you want to experience Bistecca all Fiorentina.

OMERO TRATTORIA (in the hills).

or Latini as mentioned above.

Most other places are just tourist traps.

Omero is AMAZING!!

I'm sorry, but in my opinion Anton simply does not know what he or she is talking about.

I have been eating bistecca alla fiorentina (and lots of other great stuff) in Florence for 50 years.

In its heyday - about 25 years ago, Il Latini was known for its roast beef - "gran pezzo di manzo al forno" - which was wonderful. They have never been known for bistecca. We stopped going about 10 years ago, when it became a tourist trap and the food became almost inedible.

Omero is famous for its fried foods - pigeon, chicken, vegetables, etc. We stopped going there, about five years ago, because they tried to rip us off - with items on the bill we hadn't ordered or eaten - twice in a row. "Fool me once . . . "

My wife, who was born and raised in Argentina, and I think we know a good steak when we see and bite into one. We have been consistently very, very happy with the steaks at Sostanza - including a magnificent doppio we had there at the end of May. My wife said it was the best steak she had ever had - and she has had a lot.

The other terrific place we have had steaks a couple of times is Giogolirossi, in the hills south of town.

And he (she) said it as a matter of fact, not opinion. That strongly implies - at the very least - that anybody who recommends anything else is either a fool or a knave.

I said that in my opinion that's just flat wrong. If that offends you, so be it.

I did not include prices in my previous post.

At Sostanza, the price for a full meal in May, including a plate of pasta, steak, a vegetable, and very drinkable house wine, but no desert, cost just about 50 euros, including service.

Be aware, they do not accept credit cards.

I have not eaten at Giogolirossi in severl years, but I would guess that it is probably a bit more.

The key issue with steak in Tuscany is whether you get the local Chianina beef, or something else. You really want Chianina, and those two places are pretty sure bets.
