Buses in Amorgos

Hello All,

I'm just wondering how many busses run between Chora and Aigiali in a day at the first part in September.

What do you think this timetable is good? amorgos-island-magazine.com/amorgos-bus-serv…

Thank you very much for your help in advance.

The buses here are a very contentious issue. The timetable you refer to will be about correct as far as the number of buses a day are concerned but not necessarily the same times. The biggest problem we have is low season when there are very few buses, indeed in the winter there are none to certain places on the island. This problem was being addresses by our current mayor who was going to start a community bus service. Unfortunately he has just lost the elections by ONE vote. We hope that our new mayor will pursue this problem.

Hello,

Those are the August buses, for September (mid season) they would be about half that number, so that would be about 3 buses on the Aegiali - Chora - Katapola route, and about 3 to Langada and Tholaria.

If you stay in Aegiali then you would be able to reach Chora, Monastery, Katapola on a daytrip using the KTEL buses, or the reverse if you stay in Katapola. On the island times are posted on main stops, best to look there to see.

I know very well what KTEL means, and you know very well I'm just using the word generically to indicate the islands buses. Same as the word 'nes' is used for instant coffee.

I have never claimed to an 'expert' ever, however I have been to Amorgos many times, and have used the islands buses every visit, so my comments are valid.

And everyone knows your posts are merely put on to advertise your own business interests. Perhaps you should try and cover that up with useful information for original poster.

Hello,

Accorging to your comment maybe not the best idea to rent a studio in Agios Pavlos beach in early September as we planned, or we should hire a car.

How much is the daily rate of a small car in this period?

Thank you for your help.
