Florence is in Tuscany the others are not. Best advice is to get a good guidebook - I like the Eyewitness ones but the Rick Steeves one is also popular. Ciao

Keep in mind you have a number of airports to choose from in the area: Florence Amerigo Vespucci, Pisa and Bologna. All will be within one hour by train to FLorence.

If you get a smokin' hot deal to fly in or out of Rome or Milan or Venice, then these are from 2 hours to 4 hours by train away. If the deal is right then this may be an option for you also. Just be sure to add in the cost of the train service you will need and the time you will be in transit to determine if this is the best value for you.

Florence is in Tuscany, as mentioned, so in a perfect world, you should aim for one of the airports in Tuscany, as I mentioned above.

Ciao! LL
