Is it possible to walk from The Ibis Chesterfield centre to the football ground
If the stadium is the B2net Stadium, Whittington Moor, this is 2 1/2 miles or so [50 minutes to an hours walk] from the Ibis?
Possibly a bus service from the town centre particularly on match days?
Don't miss the famous church spire when in Chesterfield.
Chesterfield is quite hilly so you would probably be better off walking past the spire to Cavendish Street in the centre of the town (see http://www.derbysbus.info/images/cfld_tc.pdf), and taking bus 14, 25, 43, 44, 50/50A or 90 from there for the 5 minute journey to the stadium.
It's not two and half miles at all. One and a half and not a bad walk. Up the hill into town and then a gentle stroll down Sheffield Road. Not much more than £4 in a taxi though.
Bus service from town to the Footie ground is easy enough. Get the bus from Beetwell Street. Or, just jump in a taxi. Won't be much at all.
